About OpenMathBook
A free, trilingual platform for learning mathematics — explanations, practice, and exams, every question worked through to the end.
Who's behind OpenMathBook?
Hi, I'm Ravit Helfenbaum — founder of OpenMathBook, math teacher, online-course developer, and distance-learning specialist.
For more than 20 years I've been teaching mathematics, statistics, and economics, supporting learners of every age — from middle-schoolers to university students, including learners with diagnosed learning differences — toward real, lasting success.
I hold a B.Sc. in engineering (with honors), a master's degree in education, and a teaching certificate for secondary-school mathematics, with certification for the advanced curriculum.
Over the years I've contributed to national education initiatives, developed online courses, and led volunteer distance-learning projects during emergency periods — driven by a deep commitment to high-quality, accessible education.
"Teaching is my calling. I don't just teach — I see each student. I understand what's holding them back, and I find the way to switch the light on for them.
I believe in learning that feels right: precise, accessible, and genuinely inspiring. I'm not only a teacher — I'm also a developer, editor, programmer, and videographer, because I want every learner to experience teaching that connects deep expertise with real human warmth."

Math doesn't have to be frustrating. Anyone can understand it — when someone takes the time to see them, and explain it the right way. That's what I'm here for.
